An annotated directory of alternative medicine resources from databases and government sites to mailing lists and newsgroups. This site is maintained by a librarian at the Falk Library of the Health Sciences.
American Academy of Medical Acupuncture
Although some parts of this site are restricted to members of AAMA, it does contain good information for patients. It provides a Referral List, arranged by state, for people who would like to find a physician who practices acupuncture. Although the scope of this site is limited to medical acupuncture, it presents a list of links which includes sites on Chinese Medicine.
American Association of Naturopathic Physicians
This site offers all you need to know about naturopathic physicians - definition, philosophy, therapy, medical schools, curricula and licensing. It includes information on finding a naturopathic physician with links to individual member practitioners' homepages. The Features section gathers naturopathic news, a link to a bookstore, and more.
Complementary and Alternative Medicine Information Resources
This site from Columbia University features a directory of databases, internet resources, fact sheets, and legal and regulatory information. The fact sheet links include titles such as, What is Complementary and Alternative Medicine? and Choosing Complementary and Alternative Medicine: Questions To Consider? as well as an Introduction to CAM Clinical Trials.
Health World Online - Alternative and Complementary Medicine Center
This site offers an overview of alternative medicine along with detailed descriptions of 23 alternative medicine therapies. The advisory board is a mixture of M.D.'s, Ph.D's, naturopathic physicians and other alternative medicine practitioners.
National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine - National Institutes of Health
This site provides general information about alternative and complementary therapies. It also offers links to research centers currently conducting studies on alternative therapies for addiction, aging, AIDS, cancer, asthma, stroke and neurologic conditions, and women's health.
This site is a good source of news on alternative medicine. It provides links to recent stories in the news, a section called "Town Hall" that offers informed discussion, the latest news on federal legislation that affects natural health, and a free email newsletter to learn about the latest news, opinions and research.

National Center for Homeopathy
The National Center for Homeopathy is a nonprofit organization devoted to homeopathy in the United States. Their site provides a review of current journal articles and a 'Media Kit' section which includes an introduction to homeopathy, homeopathy in the news, homeopathy in the law, and other resources. This site also provides information on how to find a homeopath as well as information about education and licensing across the United States.
