RptView - RptView32 (Report View) for Windows
Report Viewer and Print System

You have the databases that contain the data. You have the
reporting tools to generate the reports. You have sales agents,
field representatives, accounting personnel, and others that need
the reports on a daily basis. Some of these people are hundreds,
if not thousands of miles away. Some of your reports are
hundreds if not thousands of pages. Your people need to extract
information from these reports and use them in their spreadsheets.

But you have a problem, the reports are still on paper!

Instead of printing, you have thought of storing the reports on
disk or maybe even CDROM. You have thought of using dial-ups and
the Internet to transfer these reports to your people at their locations.
You have even considered COLD systems, but the costs are out of reach.

You still have a problem. How are they to view these reports?

You have thought of using a word processor or some other text viewer.
But how do you keep the column headings from disappearing from the
top. What if that report is 25,000 pages? Can the report be read
quickly and easily. You need a tool that is easy to use and user friendly.
What tool do you choose?

The answer is RptView (Report View) for Windows.

Many companies are desirous of reducing paper, postal, and
other costs and improving employee productivity by providing
PC access to mainframe, network, and PC generated reports.
RptView (Report View), the Windows Report Viewer and Print System
provides your PC's and Laptops with a low cost, highly effective
way to view, print, and extract information from reports generated
from other systems and stored as ASCII files on your Desktop,
Laptop, CDROM, or Network drives.

RptView32 (the 32-bit version of RptView) allows you to view, print,
and extract information from reports generated from other systems
and stored as ASCII files on your PC or network drives.
Mainframe generated reports (IBM, UNIX, COBOL, Fortran) downloaded
by other utilities to your network or PC drives can be read by RptView32.
ASCII reports generated from PC-based tools (such as dBase, Paradox)
can also be printed to file and read by RptView32.

RptView32 has two major differences from other ASCII file viewers.
First, RptView32 has the unique ability to split a viewed page by
both row and column. With RptView32 you can scroll up and down in a
report page and still be able to see the title and column headings.
You can also scroll left and right and still row titles. As you move
from page to page, the splits will dynamically refresh for each page.

Second, RptView32 has Parse N Copy functionality. While other viewers
allow you to select and copy text to the Windows Clipboard, RptView32
goes further. You can PARSE your selected text to individual fields using
RptView32's Parse N Copy feature. Parsed N Copied information can then
be pasted in spreadsheet and database applications and populate individual
columns and rows of the target application.

Thirdly, RptView32 has the ability to store and retrieve Page Notes. Like
writing in the white space of a printed page, Page Notes can be saved and
shared between multiple users. Bookmarks can also be retained and recalled.
Printing can be performed on bookmarked pages.

Besides reading compressed reports that were available in the 16-bit version,
RptView32 can now directly read from PKZip type archives. These archives
can be password protected for additional security

Listen to several satisfied users.

"We distribute 17 departmental copies of a 6,000+ page report on
a quarterly basis. RptView will let us update this report more
frequently and distribute it to a much wider audience.
RptView is easy to use and fast!"
Renaissance Energy Ltd., Calgary, Alberta Canada

"We use RptView to reduce our postal expense and provide reports
to our field representatives in a timely fashion. We have a
product to transfer the information to the field, but nothing
to view the reports. That's where your viewer steps in. Most
other viewers required a little technical know-how, but yours
does not. We look for software that is user friendly and
self-teaching."
Olan Mills Inc., Chattanooga, TN, USA

"We will be using Report View primarily in our accounting department
for viewing the general ledger, accounts payables reports,
job cost reports, and financial analysis and forcasting reports.
It will save our company money because these reports tend to get
bulky and many times have to be rerun do to printer jams or data
changes. What got me interested in viewing reports electronically
was a demo sent to us about a similiar commerical product. I
liked this concept and thought that something similar would be
available on the Internet. And sure enough, there were several.
Your Report View product is by far the best on the net and I've
looked at all of them that are available!"
